GHT Non-Exclusive Content License
To protect both the Great Himalaya Trail (GHT) and the creators who share their stories, we have made this ‘Non-Exclusive Content License’ that ensures we have the legal right to use your work while you keep ownership of your art.
Content Submission & Usage Agreement
Between: ‘The Great Himalaya Trail’ (the ‘GHT’) and ‘[Your Name]’ (the ‘Creator’). Whereas,
- Grant of License
By submitting images, video, or text (the ‘Content’) to the GHT, you grant the GHT a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, and royalty-free license to:
- Display the Content on the www.greathimalayatrail.com website and its affiliates.
- Share and promote the Content on GHT social media channels (including Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube).
- Use the Content in GHT marketing materials, newsletters, and digital presentations.
- Ownership & Credit
- You stay the owner: You retain full copyright of your work.
- Credit: The GHT agrees to provide clear credit to you (e.g. ‘Photo by @YourHandle’) whenever your Content is featured although it may not always be possible to directly associate within social media video clips, there will be a credit on the post.
- Tagging: We will make a reasonable effort to tag your social media handles in post captions to help grow your audience.
- Your Promises (Warranties)
By sending us the Content, you confirm that:
- It’s yours: You are the original creator and own all rights to the work.
- Permission: You have permission from any recognisable people in the images or videos to be featured.
- Originality: The content does not infringe on anyone else’s copyright or trademarks.
- No Payment
This is a voluntary submission for the purpose of community storytelling and exposure. No financial compensation will be provided unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Termination
If you wish to have your Content removed from our website in the future, please notify us at robin@greathimalayatrail.com. We will remove it from the website within 30 days. Please note: Content already shared on social media feeds cannot always be deleted but will not be used in future new posts.
